> I can't really compare...haven't even seen the EIS, but I've ordered it...literally taking my SP order out of the mail. The bottom line I did was "teacher intensiveness"...EIS sounds much more independent, and SP more teacher directive. There have been MANY positive posts on the Sonlight board FOR SP, but most of these came from just one person. Then, recently there were 2 or 3 detailed negative posts on the classed loop re: SP. I would repost them, but don't know if that is proper message board ettiquette! In summary, these few moms said: > > -doesn't teach rules enough -introduces too many varied > spellings at one time without explanations -labor intensive > for teacher -great ideas, but not organized well -not > cohesive > > I personally liked the fact that EIS has chants and rules for each lesson learned, the student can use a headset to do their work, and the whole idea of the animals is intriguing; my guys LOVE animals and animal studies. I *do* wonder what the "lessons" will be like, and also how IEW says they can "guarantee" the learning! I haven't assaulted Andrew with my many questions yet because of his recent/current move...but plan to call him when his "dust" settles down! Will share anything he tells me.... > > Happy hunting! KC Thanks KC. I like the independent sound of EIS also.Let me know what you hear about that guarantee.Sonya |
