We used LLATL for second, third and fourth grades. We realized that, for our children, it wasn't "repetitive" enough for them. LLATL might introduce a concept (very briefly IMHO) and not repeat it for weeks. By that time, they usually forgot the concept or had to be re-instructed. We started it with our second grade boy, did third grade with him also. At the time, I liked it because it was a "gentle" approach to a subject my son found very difficult. When he was in fourth, I was having my doubts, but started second grade with my daughter also. Half way through, we were struggling so much with things my son didn't remember and my daughter didn't remember, that we ditched the program and started Shurley Grammar 3 (which I can't recommend highly enough). I hope this helps.
> Any one had experience with this program. I am considering it for my 5th and possibly 3rd grade sons. The 3rd however is struggling with reading. I am wondering if this is too advanced for him. Any suggestions would be great!
